Chris Murphy practices Employment Law, Real Estate Law, Corporate & Commercial Law, and Wills and Estate Planning. He also has experience in Insurance Law and is able to assist clients in various disputes with their insurer including over coverage, or the value of insured property.

Chris obtained his law degree in 2015 from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria. While in Halifax Chris completed a semester long placement with the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic, completed a semester long placement with the Nova Scotia Supreme Court – Family Division, and worked towards establishing a pro-bono mediation clinic at Dalhousie with Pro Bono Students Canada.

Chris moved to Nanaimo in 2015 to article with a Nanaimo firm and has lived in Nanaimo ever since. Away from work, Chris enjoys hiking, backpacking, and home improvement projects. Chris also holds a Private Pilot License and is active in BC’s general aviation community.
